PRP Aftercare

What To Do

  • Keep the area clean and dry. Wait 4–24 hours before washing your face or scalp, depending on your provider’s advice. Use gentle, non-exfoliating, fragrance-free cleansers after that.

  • Use soothing skincare. Once allowed, use products with hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, or other gentle moisturizers. Hydrate well — drink plenty of water to support healing.

  • Apply sunscreen daily . The skin is extra sensitive post-treatment. Use broad-spectrum SPF 30+ and reapply regularly.

  • Be gentle. Pat skin dry, avoid rubbing. Use clean pillowcases and avoid anything that can introduce bacteria to the treated area

What To Do

Massage the treated area: 5-5-5 Rule: Massage for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days.

  • This helps evenly distribute the product and prevent small lumps or nodules from forming under the skin.
  • Use a gentle moisturizer or arnica cream if approved by your provider.

Apply cold packs (if needed)

  • Use a cold compress intermittently for the first 24 hours to reduce swelling or discomfort.
